The Local Scene : Avion Roe

Last night I attened Forever The Sickest Kids Hometown Show. Now I will admit that I only knew of FTSK and Artist Vs Poet, but I'm always willing to give other bands a chance. Espeically if they are good live...I'm not fully sold on a band until I see how well they are outside of studio recordings.

Just like any concert I go to and I only know a band or two I try and keep an open mind while watching the other bands perform. To say that Avion Roe amazed me with their live performance would be the honest truth. Their stage presences was awesome. The drummer, Josh, even continued playing through vomiting and singer, Evan, ended the night by hanging upside down off of a beam.

I had the chance to meet all of the guys after the show and they were all really nice and down to eart. My advice is if you live in or around Dallas to catch their next show!!

Just like any music addict I came home and searched out their music. After listening to the samples of every song on their album The Art Of Fiction I purchased it. This band is really a great band and I'm glad I got to see them live and I can't wait to attend some more shows of theirs!
